高壓隔膜板框壓濾機通過物理擠壓實現(xiàn)污泥脫水。通過板框給污泥施加壓力，含水污泥受力使得水分得以分離出來，達到降低污泥含水率的目的。擠壓工藝可選用隔膜二次擠壓或空氣吹掃濾餅內(nèi)及管道中剩余水份，優(yōu)點是脫水后泥餅含水率較低、衛(wèi)生條件較好，脫水率高，卸料立體布置，占地少。部分污泥可不用二次投加調(diào)理藥劑，直接脫水，減少運營成本。
